Ware Malcomb is a contemporary and expanding full-service design firm providing professional architecture, planning, interior design, civil engineering, branding, and building measurement services to clients throughout the world. The firm specializes in the design of office, industrial, science and technology, healthcare, multifamily, retail, hospitality, and public/institutional projects. For six consecutive years, Ware Malcomb has been ranked as the number one Industrial Sector Architecture Firm by Building Design + Construction magazine. The firm is also ranked among the top 10 architecture/engineering firms in Engineering News-Record's Top 500 Design Firms and the top 30 interior design firms in Interior Design magazine's Top 100 Giants.
CBRE's U.S. Design Collective team joined Ware Malcomb in early July. CBRE's U.S. Design Collective team is a premier design practice comprised of interior design, architecture, structural engineering, experiential design specialists, and Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP), according to the firm's announcement. Officials say the addition of MEP and structural engineering starts a new chapter for Ware Malcomb, expanding the firm's ability to offer clients even more integrated design services.
"We are excited to add talented design team members who have built strong reputations for workplace design in their respective markets with a diverse array of clients, including several prominent national accounts," according to Jay Todisco, Ware Malcomb President. "This infusion of exceptional talent into our interiors practice will enhance our capabilities and expand our reach."
"From both a business and practice perspective, CBRE's U.S. Design Collective team and Ware Malcomb share similar values and cultures," notes Ken Wink, CEO. "We are united in our commitment to providing high-quality design services to our clients, with client relationships being our utmost priority. Our collaborative, people-focused cultures foster a team-oriented, positive environment."
As part of the expansion, Ware Malcomb has welcomed two new Principals: Karen McCallum and Michael Rometo, both in Atlanta. McCallum most recently served as Managing Director, Americas Design Lead for CBRE and brings more than two decades of experience to her new role at Ware Malcomb. Rometo brings 25 years of experience and has been with CBRE for the last eight years, most recently serving as Managing Director, Buildings & Systems for CBRE. Tina Lamkey, Director, Firmwide Business Operations, in Chicago; David Pugh, Regional Director in San Francisco; and David Sheehan, Director, Design, in New York City have also joined the firm.
"Our shared values and collaborative cultures will ensure a seamless transition for our clients, reinforcing our dedication to high-quality design services and exceptional client relationships," McCallum says. "Our existing clients will also benefit from Ware Malcomb's expanded capabilities."
